It is paired with a matching whisk stand, also crafted by Tosen, offering both beauty and practical care for your chasen.

Two types of organic matcha from Osada Tea are included, each offering its own nuance. Kakitsubata brings a rounded and elegant profile, while Kogamo offers a deeper, umami-rich character. Completing the set are a traditional bamboo tea whisk and scoop, essentials for preparing and enjoying matcha with intention.

Care & Use

(Ceramics)

  • Handwash only
  • Do not use in microwave or oven

(Bamboo items)

  • Soak the tip (tines) in warm or hot water every time before use
  • Wash immediately and gently after the use with water (no need to use dish soap)
  • Reshape the tip (tines) as needed
  • Store the whisk standing up to keep the shape

(Matcha Powder)

Storage

  • Keep unopened packages in the refrigerator or freezer.
  • After opening, store in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight or humidity.
  • For optimal flavor, use within one month after opening.

Basic Preparation

  • Whisk about 2g in 70ml of hot water at approximately 176°F (80°C).
